Groundwork South was created in 2012 and is made up of six area teams who work in communities from Kent to Cornwall. Their work with communities is underpinned by the Mission to make the South of England a greener and more prosperous place for people and communities.

Groundwork South work towards a future of sustainable communities which are vibrant, healthy and safe, which respect the local and global environment and where individuals and enterprise can prosper.

They know that real change requires action on many different fronts. That’s why they work hand-in-hand with communities to: create and improve green spaces for community benefit; provide training and support to help those furthest from the job market back into work especially; and to promote greener living and working.
