Our team of highly skilled mentors will work one to one with a young person or deliver small group sessions to help build their confidence and skillset to help enable them to move towards their goals of education or employment. Offering a wide range of information, advice and support through our dedicated team of mentors our range of advice and guidance is extensive but particularly includes:
-Work Experience -Housing & Welfare rights - Emotional Health & Wellbeing
-Work & Study - Sex & Relationships -Alcohol & Drugs - Careers Advice
-Citizenship & Volunteering - Transitions to independence
Once we receive and review a referral, each eligible young person is assigned to an Empowering Enterprise mentor. Together they then create a bespoke plan of activities which will help them along their journey to achieve their goals. Our support is young person led and will focus on their own specific goals and aspirations.
Our support can include help with; opening a bank account, learning about financial independence, navigating public transport, creating a CV, applying for jobs or apprenticeships, interview training, organisation skills, work experience opportunities, 1:1 mentoring, therapeutic activities, support with returning to education or the development of life skills. It also often involves the chance to simply talk and build confidence over a coffee, or a walk in the countryside. Support can be anything that helps young people towards education employment or training, providing they fully engage with the project.
